Larry H. Kretchmar, MD, FACS
Dr. Kretchmar is a board certified urologist (1967) and Fellow ofthe American College of Surgeons. He grew up in Milwaukee,Wisconsin, and attended Dartmouth College, where he waselected to Phi Beta Kappa. He went to Northwestern UniversityMedical School in Chicago, graduating in 1958. Dr. Kretchmarinterned and had one year of general surgery at DartmouthMedical School (Mary Hitchcock Hospital) in New Hampshire.He completed his urology residency at the University ofRochester Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, in1964 and authored or co-authored 12 scientific articles. Heentered the practice of urology with Dr. Alvin Rutner at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California, in August 1964.
Dr. Kretchmar served as a commander in the U.S. Navy MedicalCorps from 1967 to 1969, spending one year at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego and one year at the naval hospital in Danang.
Sari R. Levine, MD, FACS
Dr. Levine is a board certified urologist who has been with ElCamino Urology group since 1991. Her practice encompassesall aspects of urology, treating men, women and children. Dr.Levine has particular expertise in treating patients with voidingdysfunction, neurogenic voiding and incontinence. Shecompleted her urologic residency at The Hospital of theUniversity of Pennsylvania (HUP) in Philadelphia under theauspices of Dr. Alan Wein, a world-renowned specialist inbladder dysfunction. Dr. Levine graduated with Honors fromStanford University, and the medical school of WashingtonUniversity in St. Louis. In addition to managing a busy urologypractice, Dr. Levine has also served in several importantleadership roles at El Camino Hospital, most notably as Chief of Surgery in 1998-1999 and Chief of the Medical Staff in 2004-2005. Dr. Levine was part of a rare father/daughter urology practice, working alongside Dr. Leonard Levine prior to his recent retirement.

Frank Lai, MD, FACS
Frank C. Lai, MD is a board certified urologist who has been with the El Camino Urology Medical Group since 2003. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Chicago; there he attended th Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Johns Hopkins University where he was the Conference Champion. Dr. Lai earned his medical degree fro Northwestern University Medical School where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency and served as a Chief Resident in urology at Stanford University where he received several awards for his research and publications. He went on to complete a Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons certified Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. There he specialized in advanced, minimally invasive laparoscopic, robotic, and endoscopic procedures for a variety of urologic conditions including kidney, adrenal, and prostate cancers, complex stone diseases, and voiding dysfunction. He is also particularly interested in the medical management and prevention of stone disease. Dr. Lai is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Lai serves a as national surgery proctor for the da Vinci Robot, and he is the only urology member for the Cancer Center at El Camino Hospital. He is also a member of the following professional/academic associations:

Edward Karpman, MD, FACS
Dr. Edward Karpman is a board certified urologist and one of the few urologists who is also fellowship trained in
Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, Microsurgery and Male Sexual Dysfunction. He is the medical director of the Men’s Health Center at El Camino Hospital Los Gatos and the California Vasectomy and Reversal Center. He grew up in Southern California and attended college at the University of California, Davis where he graduated with Honors in Biological Sciences. He went on to medical school at the University of Vermont where he was awarded the James Demeules surgical research award and scored in the top 5% of all medical school graduates in the nation on his medical board exams. He completed his urologic surgery training at the University of California, Davis Medical Center where he received several awards for his research and publication. Dr. Karpman was then awarded a prestigious fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. There he specialized in Male Infertility, Microsurgery and Male Sexual Dysfunction. Dr Karpman has authored numerous articles on the subjects of urology, sexual dysfunction and male infertility. He has authored the chapter on sperm retrieval techniques in the definitive textbook on male infertility. He has been interviewed by NBC news, Fox radio, NPR, Parents magazine and Bay Area Parent magazine. He has presented research in the fields of male fertility,microsurgery and penile implants at national meetings. He serves as a proctor for laser surgery of the prostate, penile implants and male incontinence procedures, teaching other physicians to perform these operations. He is involved in the development of new technologies for the treatment of prostate enlargement. Dr. Karpman has been an invited lecturer on the subjects of testosterone replacement, male sexual dysfunction and male infertility. He serves as a proctor for laser surgery of the prostate, penile implants and male incontinence operations, helping other physicians to perform these operations.

Wesley G. Kong, M.D.
Wesley G. Kong, MD is a Staff Physician with El Camino Urology Medical Group, Inc. in Mountain View California. He is a trained urologist subspecializing in the treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and complex voiding dysfunction.
Dr. Kong received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He then completed his residency at the University of Southern California followed by a research and clinical fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. His clinical specialties include the treatment of incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic surgery and urogynecology, advanced laparoscopic and robot assisted surgery.
Dr. Kong is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and his professional memberships include the International Continence Society, the American Urological Association and the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology.
Professional Highlights
Dr. Kong held the academic appointment of Clinical Instructor with the Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, ranked this year by US News and World Report as one of Americas top 4 hospitals. Additionally in 2009, Dr. Kong received international awards and recognition from both the American Urological Association and the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology for his animal research on the pathophysiology of stress urinary incontinence. He is also frequently invited to perform lectures and live surgery at local and national scientific meetings and has been published in numerous professional publications including the Journal of Urology and Urology.
